As international medical students at TSU, we are facing a significant hurdle that is impacting our future careers. Currently, our medical school is not registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), which is a requirement for us to practice as qualified doctors in the UK. This lack of registration prevents us from taking UKMLA exams and obtaining GMC registration – two critical steps in our journey to becoming practicing physicians.

This issue affects not just current students but also all international graduates from TSU who aspire to practice medicine in the UK. It undermines our hard work and dedication, as well as limiting our career prospects significantly.

We urge the TSU International Medical School to address this matter urgently by facilitating the necessary processes for registering TSU Medical School with GMC. This action will ensure that we, along with future generations of students can fulfill our dreams of practicing medicine across the UK.
