The Regal Opry Mills IMAX theater in Nashville TN has been a great asset to our community, and we are grateful for that.

However, there is one problem: it uses a single laser projector instead of a dual laser projector like many other large IMAX theaters do.  The screen is large enough to display movies in a 1:43.1 aspect ratio (when shot in said ratio) but a single laser projector can only display films in as much as a 1:90:0 ratio.  To compensate for this, the projector is aligned with the lower half of the screen instead of the center.  This is unacceptable for an IMAX theater of this size.

We believe that this Regal Cinema should switch from their current single laser projector to a dual laser projector which will allow them to display films such as Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Dune, and Tenet in the intended 1.43:1 aspect ratio 
IMAX theaters are supposed to be immersive experiences where you can feel like you're actually inside the movie you're watching.
