We just rolled over 1,00 signatures. We are 10x our initial goal of 100, so this is just awesome. Thanks to everyone who has signed and shared the petition for helping us get here.

This has been a long 5 year journey since we started this petition. We have had long periods of radio silence and inactivity, but we are still in this. You might have heard, Regal Cinemas and IMAX corp have entered an expanded partnership to bring IMAX Laser to more locations. IMAX has also been working on locating and restoring unused IMAX 70mm projectors and giving that capability to more locations. You might have heard the dual-projector GT Laser system that we originally asked for is no longer being manufactured, which hasn't been officially confirmed, but does seem to be the case. However, you might have also heard a next-generation Laser system capable of 1.43 is in development. So, there is some hope and movement. Films such as Oppenheimer, ᑐᑌᑎᕮ, Sinners, and The Odyssey have certainly kicked up public interest in the proper 1.43 IMAX experience. Not to mention the 10th Anniversary presentation of Interstellar in IMAX 70mm this past December, which I had the chance to experience and it was breathtaking. These experiences have sold tickets like hotcakes.

I visited the Pointe Orlando IMAX for the first time in a while this past week. The screen has indeed been replaced and is looking great. The seats have also been mostly repaired and are quite comfortable. Local management told me that they do see our petition and do seem to share our enthusiasm for wanting the very best for this theater. It has been made apparent that corporate Regal calls the shots for anything IMAX related, but local management is on our side. Corporate Regal has at least told me that they are aware of the petition, as has IMAX CQO David Keighley. Also, the =loaded fries at Pointe are quite tasty, just maybe don't order those if you have a 4DX ticket.
