Hi Everyone.  Thank you for signing this petition and your overall support of this important issue.  These actions by the board and city could set a dangerous precedent for the community if not undone and those responsible held accountable.

Attached is a notice released by the city for a workshop they are hosting to discuss updates to the Historic Preservation Ordinance.  This ordinance change was initiated by the same parties responsible for soliciting the $100k payment and the board member who made threatening statements.  This is their attempt to cover themselves and legalize their extortion, veiling it as a "monetary contribution" where a homeowner could buy back their variances that the board would otherwise revoke.

The board could arbitrarily set the monetary contribution up to 30% of the assessed home value of a property in dispute.  Which could be hundreds of thousands.

This board is unhinged and in need of disbanding and potential criminal charges for their actions.

There are currently multiple State departments investigating, but pressure needs to be placed on city leadership to take action.  Please email the city commission in objection to the board's actions and the proposed ordinance.
