Reform Moreton City Council's Two-Dog Outing Law

Reform Moreton City Council's Two-Dog Outing Law
The issue
I am a dog lover, just like many of you. My dogs are not just pets; they are family members who bring joy and comfort to my life. Unfortunately, a recent change in the law by the Moreton City Council has disrupted our daily routine and deprived our beloved pets of their cherished days out.
Previously, we were able to send our dogs to what I affectionately call 'Doggy Daycare' while we went about our workday. This arrangement provided them with much-needed socialization and exercise. However, the council's new two-dog outing law has put an end to these delightful days out.
This law is not only affecting my family but also many others in Morayfield QLD, Australia who share their lives with more than two dogs. It is important to note that according to RSPCA Australia (2019), 40% of Australian households have more than one pet which indicates that this issue affects a significant portion of the population.
We understand that regulations are necessary for public safety and welfare but believe there should be room for reasonable exceptions or modifications. We ask for your support in urging the Moreton City Council to reconsider this ruling and allow responsible pet owners greater flexibility in caring for their pets.
Please sign this petition if you believe in fair treatment for all pets and want them back on their fun-filled outings at Doggy Daycare!
