Reform Independent Party Ballot Access and Get Larry Sharpe on the Ballot!

The Issue

In the United States, the democratic process is being outright ABUSED by the way of red tape and the sadistic manipulation of bureaucratic  processes. This has led to stifled efforts of honest Americans bringing forth true change and anti corruption plans. This can all be boiled down to one major root cause of independent parties trying to gain ballot access.

Why Does This Matter?:  These parties are an essential part of our democracy, offering fresh perspectives and solutions to problems that often go unaddressed by the two major parties. However, the current ballot access laws are archaic and heavily favor Republicans and Democrats, making it nearly impossible for independent candidates to compete. The worst is seen in New York State, where the Democratic chokehold is preventing any other parties from not only gaining access, but running as well. Republicans are more just using this state as a cash grab to create revenue through donations, and aligning with businesses where they can hire their yes-men. Money is the only objective…not the people, not the trajectory of the state.

It Happens in Other States As Well:  For instance, in many states, independent candidates are required to collect tens of thousands of signatures just to qualify for the ballot, whereas major party candidates can bypass this hurdle during primary elections. This uneven playing field undermines competition and limits voters’ choices, ultimately threatening the democratic principles of fairness and equality. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, signature requirements for independent candidates often far exceed those for candidates of major parties. In places like Texas, over 80,000 signatures are needed, a demand that is not only unrealistic but unfair.

New York Residents | Sign To Get Larry Sharpe on the Ballot for New York Governor: Signing this petition will go toward the 75K Larry needs to be on the ballot, and fight against the corruption surrounding ballot access.

No system that truly values the care of its citizens would be so dedicated to making the process to getting on the ballot as difficult as possible. The dedication stems from fear. There is a shared fear between both democrats and republicans of independents and their loyal constituents having access to their resources. Ballot access is a key resource that they use to keep citizens stuck in this realm of only a two party system. Larry Sharpe has ideas for the state of New York that rival the plans of his Republican and Democratic counterparts, and their only weapon isn’t better polices, but the creation of policies that ostracize him from being seen.

To be so scared of the anti-corruption and liberalizing ideas of third parties, to the point of using legislation to stop them from gaining access to be written on the ballot; should send extreme alarm to citizens.

It's one thing to fight against your opponent, but to try to remove them from the voters view, lends the idea that both of these long standing parties are working together and have much to hide.

Call of Action: We call on state legislatures and electoral commissions to act swiftly in revising these laws, recognizing the right of independent parties to participate fully in elections, and giving the electorate the power to choose candidates who truly represent their values.

Join us in demanding these critical reforms that will pave the way for a fairer, more inclusive electoral system. Sign the petition to make independent party ballot access a reality for future elections.
