Like many Arkansans, my family has undergone difficult experiences navigating the Arkansas family court system, particularly in regards to child custody. Our concerns have often been sidelined by attorneys and judges, leaving us feeling unheard and unjustly treated. This, unfortunately, is not an isolated occurrence, as many parents and families across the state have also been subjected to such hardships within the system.

The bedrock of the family unit is the child's wellbeing, something that has been inadvertently jeopardized because of the introduction of ACT 604 and SB18. These regulations have bid countless children to endure the torment of child custody litigation, a battle no child should know. The primary focus, the best interest of our children, seems no longer to be a priority, and this, beyond any doubt, needs to change.

Let us collectively petition for a reformation of the laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to child custody in the Arkansas family court system.

We ask the Arkansas Legislature to reassess and amend ACT 604 and SB18 so that children's best interests can be put first and so that parent’s still have control of their children’s lives and not just the court system.

Together, we can amplify our voice and, hopefully, ensure a brighter and safer future for our children. Your signature can make a change.
