Squamish Search and Rescue does not condone killing bears

Hi Nicole, 

Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concerns about bear management, but we want to clarify that SAR was not assisting the Conservation Officer in locating a bear so it could be killed, nor were we involved in any decisions involving the bears wellbeing. Our priority was responding to a seriously injured person and ensuring the safety of our team and others at the scene.
