Due to lock-down, many people have lost their job and a lot more are on the verge of becoming jobless.
Delay in transferring of salaries and even huge cuts in salaries are leading to a situation where meeting daily needs is getting tougher day by day.

This petition is about the money which hostel / PG owners of UPES, Dehradun are demanding from students who haven’t used the services from the past 2 months. Due to the lock-down in the country, most of the students returned home and are not using any hostel service, so the question arises why to pay the money for the services which you haven’t availed?
Even if it’s mandatory to pay, some relaxation should be there!

It’s time to join hands (figuratively) to appeal to the colleges, institutions and government to either give relaxation for paying of hostel rent or completely waiving it.
