Thank you so much for the support ❤️ I was recently reading about the 10 most and least pet-friendly states (safewise.org, 2022) based on a number of factors. Out of the 48 states in the study, OK did not make the top or bottom 10-  29 out of 48.

As far as shelter animals, this is what Bestfriends.org has to say, “While shelter adoptions for dogs remain below pre-pandemic volume, intake continues to increase.”

We can and need to do better. We can study the states that are considered most pet friendly for pet owners, pets, and shelter animals according to studies- states like Vermont, Delaware, Rhode Island,  North Dakota, and New Hamshire (best friends.org, 2021) and model their actions. We can NOT do it without the help of our government- to step in to create and enforce better laws. It is time to make a change!  Read and share articles to help educate the public and raise awareness.
