Please share ahead of the Wiltshire Highways Matters Meeting

A huge thanks once again for taking the time to sign this petition. I truly believe that a change in road speed limit here will save lives and limit accidents on this stretch of road. 

If you didn't need another reason to see how serious this issue is... I, myself, had a near miss on this road this last week - with a car travelling too fast (well above 60mph) nearly colliding with my vehicle, after I had pulled out of the Mons Lane junction. As I always do with my 3-month-old in the car, I had waited for no traffic at all to be seen from either direction - but apparently that's still not enough.

All we need is more time for road users to react. It's not a difficult fix. It won't cause tailbacks to Timbuktu and beyond - in fact, it's more likely to keep traffic free flowing, if people are not harshly accelerating, braking or swerving to miss.

Since we have started to collect signatures for this cause, there has been no end of interesting conversation between Lacock & local area residents. But, conversation is not enough - we need more people to sign and show support for change.  

Please, if you haven't shared this campaign already - I implore you to do so.

Every single signature counts, in order to make the Wiltshire Highways Matters meeting a success. Our questions and concerns need to be submitted to the Council and Police attendees by next Monday 4th December. So, please - get sharing and get those you know signing!
