Rentals are too high causing homelessness across the nation. At this rate people will be sacrificed. Two trends are largely responsible for the rise in homelessness over the past 20-25 years: a growing shortage of affordable rental housing and a simultaneous increase in poverty.  Increased gas prices, food , insurance and medical attention are the basics. Reduce rent, food, insurance and medical necessities for Americans. So sad there are many people who are disabled and or veterans and are just barely able to make ends meet right now. If it wasn't for our churches quite a few would be on the street. As though they don't have enough issues to deal with being ill.
