I am writing this petition to address a pressing concern that affects me and my family. The gas station located next to the apartment complex we live in is currently operating 24 hours a day. While this may seem convenient for some, for the residents of our building, it is a constant source of distress and disruption.

My family, including my child and mother, are constantly disturbed by the noise and activities during late-night hours. The gas station attracts a crowd that brings along crime and other undesirable activities, creating an unsafe environment for honest, hard-working families. It is not just my family facing this issue; at least ten other families in our complex are enduring the same hardships. What once was a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood—a place where we could all expect a good night's sleep and greet the next morning refreshed—has turned into a nerve-racking ordeal.

The nights are filled with disturbances at a time we should be resting and preparing for the next day. Our children, whose growth and learning depend significantly on a good night's rest, are losing precious sleep due to the ongoing tumult. As working individuals, we require tranquility to recharge our energies, yet it seems unattainable with the current situation.

Therefore, I am urging policymakers and the gas station owners to consider adjusting the hours of operation to better suit the needs of suburban residents. Closing at 11:00pm from Monday to Saturday and at 10:00pm on Sundays could significantly contribute to restoring peace and security in our community. This change would not only show respect for the local residents but also promote a safer environment for everyone.

We are not against having a gas station in our vicinity, but we do deeply value a balance, ensuring that businesses operate alongside maintaining the quality of life for residents. Let's make our community a place where families can feel secure and have the peace they deserve.
