I've personally experienced the terror of being held at knife point, an unforgettable ordeal that I wouldn't wish on anybody else. The extraordinary rise in knife crime amongst teenagers all over the country is deeply worrying and demands urgent attention.

Every single day, we are losing young lives to violent incidents involving knives. Recent data from the Office of National Statistics revealed a 7% increase in knife crime over the past year alone - with 45% of the victims being under 24 years old. This must change. We can't stand by while our youngsters are drawn down such a dangerous path.
