Recognize People with a Non-Standard Biological Profile! Medicine must include all of us.
The Issue
This appeal speaks on behalf of all people whose biology does not fit neatly into the rigid standards of conventional medicine. We represent a global community that has for years experienced misunderstanding, misdiagnoses, and medical exclusion. Our voices have been unheard—until now, we speak together.
Who is affected?
This concerns millions of people around the world whose bodies function differently from the medical “norm.” We’re talking about individuals with Rh-negative blood types, atypical reactions to medications and vaccines, lower-than-average body temperatures, and other less common biological traits. These patients are often ignored, misdiagnosed, or labeled as “difficult” even though their symptoms are real and repeatable.
What’s at stake?
This is about the health, safety, and dignity of people who face a healthcare system that doesn’t understand them. If nothing changes, more individuals will suffer from improper treatments, unsuitable medications, and a lack of recognition for their unique biological profiles. But if we act now, we can move toward a more personalized, fair, and effective medical system for all.
Why now?
The number of people reporting non-standard reactions is growing. Our understanding of human biological diversity is deeper than ever. This is the moment to influence changes in medical education, treatment protocols, and public awareness. Ignoring this voice now would be a mistake with consequences for generations to come.
We call on the World Health Organization (WHO), drug agencies (FDA, EMA) and health ministries around the world to urgently recognize a group of people whose bodies function differently than the average model adopted in medicine. We call this group NBP – people with a non-standard biological profile.
Members of the NBP community:
have a rare blood type (e.g. Rh-) that causes immunological and perinatal challenges;
respond atypically to medications, anesthesia, vaccinations;
have different physiological baseline values (e.g. lower body temperature);
are often ignored, misdiagnosed and marginalized by healthcare systems.
We call for:
Official recognition of this group in medical standards;
Introduce training for doctors on NBP;
Fund research into the biological and genetic specificity of these people;
Create treatment and diagnostic protocols tailored to their needs;
Legal and psychological protection for patients who experience medical misunderstanding.
Please sign if you believe that everyone deserves medical care tailored to their body.
