Answering a FAQ: Where are mobility scooters ment to be ridden?

Mobility Scooters are NOT Street Legal, they are ment to be ridden on sidewalks (if your city sidewalks are built well enough to safely be ridden on), bike lanes, and shoulders of the road. It has a top speed of 18mph.

If you have ever seen me ride my Lilith in the middle of the road, its either because-

A: the bike lane has suddenly merged to the middle of the road which is common in the city i live in.
B: my bicycle maps took me to an unfamiliar route and the safest option is to temporarily act like a car until I can safley get back to a place to ride (im still learning road names and stuff.)
C: im in a residential neighborhood (I just recently became aware that I still need to hug the shoulder of the road in residential areas as well so I'll do that once I can ride Lilith again.)
D: im going down a hill and I won't be completely in the shoulder or bike lane because I get a death wobble and need room to safely realign and correct my steering as I ride down the hill.
E. Im having to make a left turn so I have to go into the turn lane (from research i have done, this is legal for my city).

Reason B has only happened ONCE when I was doing a test route from my home to the hospital and trust me... i never want to do that again. I was horrified the entire time 😭
