We, the undersigned, hereby petition the esteemed bodies of the United Nations, the United States, NATO countries, and the global community to recognize the sovereign right of Kurdistan to exist as an independent state.

The Kurdish people, spread across several countries in the Middle East, have long suffered from marginalization, persecution, and denial of their basic rights. Despite their significant contributions to the cultural, historical, and social fabric of the region, Kurds continue to face systemic discrimination and oppression.

For decades, the Kurdish population has struggled for recognition and autonomy within the countries they inhabit. Despite their efforts, their aspirations for self-determination and statehood have been met with suppression and violence.

We believe that the time has come for the international community to acknowledge the legitimate aspirations of the Kurdish people. The establishment of an independent Kurdistan would not only uphold the principles of democracy, human rights, and self-determination but also contribute to stability and peace in the region.

An independent Kurdistan would provide a beacon of hope for millions of Kurds who have long yearned for freedom and dignity. It would create opportunities for economic development, cultural preservation, and political representation for the Kurdish population.

We urge the United Nations, the United States, NATO countries, and the world at large to support the Kurdish people in their quest for self-determination by:

1. Recognizing Kurdistan as an independent and sovereign state.
2. Supporting diplomatic efforts to facilitate dialogue and negotiations between Kurdish representatives and relevant stakeholders.
3. Upholding the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Kurdish people, including their right to self-governance and cultural expression.
4. Providing humanitarian assistance and support to Kurdish communities affected by conflict and displacement.
5. Working towards a peaceful and sustainable resolution to longstanding disputes and conflicts involving Kurdish populations. 

By recognizing Kurdistan as an independent state, the international community can demonstrate its commitment to justice, equality, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence among all peoples.

We, the signatories of this petition, call upon world leaders and institutions to stand on the right side of history and support the aspirations of the Kurdish people for freedom, dignity, and self-determination.
