I write this petition as a distressed citizen, deeply affected by the rampant corruption in our Ugandan Parliament. In an alarming reality, we lose approximately 10 trillion shillings annually due to corrupt practices within these sacred walls. This not only undermines the integrity of our leadership but greatly hinders service delivery to us, the people of Uganda, who expect and deserve more from our elected leaders.

The effects of corruption are disastrous, creating a domino effect with an array of socio-economic problems - rampant poverty, undelivered public services, and inhibited economic development. It deprives our society of much-needed resources, resources that should be spent on improving the lives of the Ugandan people, and not lining the pockets of unscrupulous politicians.

The time has come for us to take a stand against corruption. For too long, our voices have been stifled, our resources plundered, and our trust betrayed. It's time we demand a clean, accountable Parliament, beginning with the recall of the 10 MPs known for their corrupt practices.
