Supporters of Jones Park -

It's been a long year since we all learned of the park's demise last August, but there is hope it will be rebuilt!

Asheville City Schools is planning to have a proposal for getting this treasured community playground rebuilt with donated funds on their September 12 meeting agenda. The public can attend, but no public comment is allowed at this meeting. September 19th this will come back again before ACS Board for a vote - PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND if you can and voice your support.

In my email with City of Asheville staff the plan is to have this on the City Council agenda September 27th if ACS has approved this - PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND if you can. 

We will send more updates as this progresses. Nearing the pivotal moments here with the votes of the ACS Board and City Council to determine if we can get the playground rebuilt.
