The government has been making great increases in military expansion and procurement, including Canadian built ships, light armored vehicles, and looking for possible Canadian built options to replace America's F-35s.  Marc Carney during his campaign even had a speech made at Bombardier's facility, Bombardier doesn't make fighters but they do make an aircraft that has military uses, I expect he's looking at buying from them and they are Canadian so that's awesome.

I want to keep pushing for more of this and I want Canada's goal to be a lot higher than the NATO minimum 2%,. We need to be fully self reliant.  It's great to work with allies but we need our own strength.
