Hi all, I just wanted to reach out to let you know we’ve just passed 140 signatures on our petition! Thank you so much for your support! Will you help me to get more support by sharing this petition with ten other people? If enough of us sign we can’t be ignored! Here’s a link to share https://www.change.org/p/make-fremont-speedway-baylands-raceway-a-historical-site-and-reconstruct-the-race-track

Quite amazed to post something 17 hours ago. Have 100 signatures within 4 hours. And wake up to still more signatures and people who have donated, just so this petition can have a bigger chance of getting more views. Thank you!
For California has over 27 million drivers, it is an adventure to get to 140 signatures currently.

The most common question is, how will this be funded.
There are a lot of ways that Fremont Speedway/Baylands Raceway can have a successful fund.
Cities/Counties around the bay are trying to find a solution to combat sideshows, takeovers, and illegal gatherings. San Jose alone has done over PLUS 200 citations for anyone at these slideshows. Each one handed out is a grand each. IF San Jose wanted to help do their part, they could donate a portion, or all of it, towards building this track with future citations.
Some people have reached out to me, saying they can help find investors once this gets approved and hopefully put California taxpayers and residents may feel more at ease with having this track happen.
The Auto Community can help fundraise for this to happen. There are so many moving parts, and it couldn't have been a perfect time.

Protecting the old Fremont Speedway/Baylands Raceway land as a landmark site will be a journey. The history here is very extravagant and affluent. I believe placing historical facts around a reconstructed building and track would be fantastic for people to learn about the pioneers of speed in the Bay Area and the effort into building the original race track.
Chatting with some IndyCar Reps, they have instructed me to contact a local museum for specific steps. I will reach out to Black Hawk Museum in Danville. If you have any other suggestions or things I should look up and consider, please let me know!

This next part keeps coming up that I would like to address it. The track does not have to be its former glory: the racetrack can be anything Californians want. It can be the original, brand new, mainly what the people want it to become.  All in all, reconstructing this track will help future generations of all auto enthusiasts.  It'll keep everyone safe.  And everyone wants everyone to be safe.
I would love to give an example in Stockton. There are FIVE race tracks in a residential neighborhood.
I've reached out to one of the events, WettFest, to see what it is like for them on a racetrack close to other businesses and houses. The negative and positive aspects.

The beginning stage is to get enough signatures for this petition to show our California Representatives how important this is.

You have to start somewhere. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
