Unfortunately the headline act for Reading and Leeds festival, Rage Against The Machine (RATM), have had to pull out two weeks before the festival begins. With RATM having not toured in over 10 years (especially in England) many fans from across the UK have specifically payed to see them. With mentions of Reading/Leeds being on RATM’s tour list. In replacement of this, the festival have decided to put The 1975 in instead of another band of the same genre to RATM. This is very frustrating, especially for heavy metal fans and day ticket holders who have specifically bought tickets to only see them. With no disrespect to The 1975, that’s like replacing Dua Lipa with Slipknot. As a day ticket holder all we want is a refund. However, the festival isn’taccepting a change to the main HEADLINE ACT as an acceptable major and material change to the event. So, no refunds for day tickets holders are being given.
