Have School Re-Enable Android Apps
The Issue
Alright, so on the school Chromebooks about 2 weeks ago we were given the addition of Android Apps. Well, literately 3 minutes ago at the time of writing this my school just disabled that feature. It was great, it allowed me to be connected to my teachers, and helped me with schoolwork. It let me study for tests on the bus when I was alone. Now I am forced to start creating new habits all because school flipped one little switch. And trust me, having 8 tabs open is a complete nightmare when you have an old CPU that runs Google Chrome.
If they are so concerned about kids getting games, then disable all games on the Play Store. And even disable adding a new account so then kids don't find a way around it. Kids are just going to keep on using unblocked games websites and they will not stop, so why should I care? I mean no matter what you are not going to stop kids from playing games in the middle of class.
Why not just bring my own laptop? Then I don't have any school filters and I can do whatever I want on it. Heck, I could even play, I don't know, a game like Minecraft or Fortnite while the teacher is talking. See, that problem would not exist if we just added the Google Play Store back.
Also, kids being on social media will not be a problem. You already blocked apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Discord on any of the school wi-fi networks. So downloading the app would do absolutely nothing.
If you do nothing about it, some kids will start hacking their devices just so they can do things like getting access to any website they want, blocked or not. I know 5 kids who have their device already in developer mode, and you disabled that. So what are you going to do now?
