As the sport of team handball continues to grow in the United States, there is no bigger opportunity than hosting the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. This event poses the largest chance for the sport to exponentially explode across America. There are currently two seats on the Board of Directors (BOD) for USA Team Handball (USATH) held by General Members. One of those positions is held by Patrick Jalabert, in which his term is set to conclude in December of 2026. This would mean there is an opportunity to get two new General Members to join the BOD at the same time if the other current General Membership Director, Chris Brase, was removed. Chris has been in the position since January of 2025 and was able to leverage the strength of his club, New York City Team Handball Club, to get the most votes. In that election, Chris was able to get 68 out of 300 total votes. Upon this election, USATH has changed the voting in these elections to Ranked Choice Voting which would have an impact on these elections. Upon signing this petition, we will take this petition to the USATH BOD to share we have the necessary number of signatures to pose another election.
