As tenants of Fleurhof Valley who own our units, we pride ourselves on open communication and mutual respect. However, the recent actions of the self-appointed trustees in our complex have caused a great deal of discomfort and dissatisfaction. Their decisions, particularly regarding the scheduling of our Annual General Meeting (AGM), have left us feeling unheard and bullied.

An AGM was scheduled on a Saturday, a day when many of us are unavailable. This lack of consideration for the majority of owners is unacceptable. When we voiced our concerns and requested a weekday meeting, our pleas were dismissed, and the meeting was postponed to yet another Saturday. This recurring issue highlights a significant disconnect between the trustees and the community they claim to represent.

This situation is not just an inconvenience; it undermines our democratic right to participate in decisions that affect our living environment. The current trustees have disregarded our preferences and failed to facilitate a fair and accessible platform for all members. We are therefore calling for a re-election of our Trustees and  removal of the Porfolioto Manager (Wallace Khumalo) reflect the true choice of the residents, ensuring transparency and fairness in our community governance.

We need trustees who listen, act responsively, and respect the collective voice of the community.
