The community motion against the increased prices for residents parking has been accepted by the council and the proposal has been withdrawn during the well attended council meeting on 24 April. A great result!

The council will be organising a Clean Air Assembly, comprising of residents. Please see the link in the following article:
https://www.kingstonlibdems.org/lib-dems_withdraw_permit-charge-proposals

Also please sign the Kingston Clean Air Now petition:
http://kingstoncan.org.gridhosted.co.uk/

Hopefully that will result in some effective fair measurements to increase air quality and, in the light of the climate change emergency, hopefully also to decrease CO2 emissions.

Thank you all for your support, for signing this petition and signing the community motion one, for spreading the word and rallying more people, for your comments, for attending our residents meeting, for delivering leaflets, for creating stickers, for attending the council meeting and for being a great responsive audience in the meeting! Also credit to councillor Liz Green for stepping up to the plate and to listen to the residents. And also credit to the opposition councillors for their support.

Further, thank you to all speakers for their brilliant speeches and a special thanks to Damon and James for getting us organised and for orchestrating our successful campaign!

Thank you!
