The people of Claymont and our neighbors petition for the reopening of Green Street through Darley Green.   

The closure of this road has affected and continues the hinder access for the Claymont Elementary School, Claymont Fire Company, Residents Of Overlook Colony, Claymont Addition, and the community of Claymont at large. The closure denies students and other children access to the library, and provides the community with a headache. 

The origin of this petition began when residents of the extended Ashbourne Hills Neighborhood complained about this closure at a town hall meeting. Now, the members of this community are demanding for the opening of this street for the overall quality of life and convenience for the community at large. 

We, by signing this petition, demand the builders, county and state open Green Street and all if any action is required for construction, the builders pay for flaggers, whereas it is no longer necessary to inconvenience this community further than it has been 10 plus years.
