Ok, let's have real talk... we just fought a war to save several of our schools from CLOSURE, because of the students who are performing poorly on tests. They focused on low income areas and we ALL PLEDGED to do everything we could to HELP the students in the future. Re-opening the Boys and Girls Club would provide AFTER SCHOOL programs for the children most in the need! Even parents who can afford day care do not have an after school option for their PRETEENS and TEENS! If you cared about the children enough to speak up at School Board meetings- sign this petition and help get this program started again. I believe in the Re//DEFINED movement and that they will do a wonderful job for the children of Cenla! We have 296 online signatures and a couple hundred on paper! We are about halfway there.
