Below was my response to the news video:
I want our children back in school. But with this many going back at once our hospitals and er rooms are already congested. You can go get vacinnated like Jeff Powell encourages but it won’t help with school starting next week, because you can still get covid waiting for your second round of vaccine and you still have to wait for an apt at some places. Many parents aren’t going to vaccinate their growing children this soon. There is so much more to this then just keeping kids home, if we don't make a change somewhere in our Parish during this peak we can face another shut down for the first half of the year until school starts back up, I don’t want that, I’d rather do the work now and make arrangements for my children for a few weeks then having to quarentine for two weeks into the school year or a shut down. It is not just our kids safety and health its our entire community as a whole!
