Dentistry profession is one of the most underrated professions in India.

Life is almost a standstill for many graduates, and are unemployed or doing other jobs. Ultimately, ending up in financial constraints.

Fee paid during the entire course would be around 15-20lakhs if a private institute. The starting salary of 8k-15k  which private clinics pay, and the fees paid make a huge difference. It would take around 15-20 years to pay back the education loan students have taken for their degree.

The government sector has only vacancies for 5% of the total dental graduates. Self practice in urban areas is not very easy due to the saturation in dental market. Also it needs lots of money, space and infrastructure.  Ultimately, change in career or moving abroad is the only option left. Working as clincal research associates in pharmaceutical companies, tech health startups, as medical officers, medical writers, transcriptionists.

If appropriate rules aren't made , highly talented manpower of the country will get wasted.
