ARC Community Consultations about Proposed Rail Trail.

Q.why is the council asking rate payers and residents about a proposed rail trail( bike trail in rail corridor) only?

Q. Why is it not asking about the future use of rail corridor from Armidale to Ben Lomond for business,services and industry?

Q. Why should the council prioritise the needs of recreational cyclists over the transport  needs of majority who pay the rates?

Q. Why is council spending 2 million from council budget and another $600,000 from an external source for preliminary works for rail trail?

Q. why is the mayor using a statement in draft regional transport plan released by tfnsw  to justify the rail trail plan saying govt has no plans for trains in rail corridor without waiting for final transport plan for New England northwest?

Q. Why various rail trail face book sites and Web pages  outside Armidale LG area are asking cyclists to send submissions to council's  community consultation about proposed rail trail?

Q. Has the information made available by council made it clear that such information from outside cycling groups are not acceptable?

Q. Has the council investigated ways of building a rail trail without removing the rail line? If not why?

Why is the mayor and council ignoring more than 5000 residents who have signed an online petition opposing New England Rail Trail?
