Rail support group in New England, Northern Railway Defenders Forum (NRDF) has regisered a new association called Trains North Inc. in order to streamline the campaign activities aimed at the full restoration of northern railway line for passenger and freight services.

The interim president is Mr. Mathew Tierney who was the co-convenor of NRDF.

This is an important step in the concerted efforts of som many residents of New England and NSW to convince the decision makers in Government and Councils to reflect back on their plans to tear up the valuable railway infrastructure between Armidale and Glen Innes to construct a cycle track (rail trail) -nothwithstanding the heavy community opposition to the project.

We hope to be able to bring to your attention the activities of new association during the rest of the year and beyond.
