Local Government Elections-Candidates who support Northern Rail Line

Dear Rail Supporter,

You may be interested to know the candidates who support the restoration of northern rail line from Armidale to Glen Innes and beyond.

Armidale Regional Council

There are 3 candidates who clearly support our cause

1. Margaret O'Connor

2. Debra O'Brien

3. Craig Pevitt

Glen Innes Severan Council

David Renn

In both Council areas there are others who do not wish to see the line closed. Some believe the money can be used for other essential services(Dorothy Robinson). Paul Packham believes there should be no net cost to the Council from the Rail Trail.

In the ARC election, there are several independent candidates who support the rail trial e.g. Peter Baily, Sam Coupland, Kate Clare.  Full list can be provided.
