Stefán Karl Stefánsson aka Robbie Rotten to represent Iceland at Eurovision
The Issue
RÚV (the Icelandic Eurovision broadcaster) please choose Robbie Rotten from LazyTown, played by Stefán Karl Stefánsson, to represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest. The LazyTown character has gained international fame and admiration following the 'We Are Number One' meme phenomenon that exploded in 2016. I'm sure this would be reflected in the votes and it would make alot of people very happy to see Stefán Karl Stefánsson representing Iceland in the biggest entertainment competition in the world. As you probably know, Stefán is currently battling cancer and we all wish him the best. I hope the success of this petition will demonstrate how much support there is around the world for him. Of course we'd love to see him at the 2017 contest but his recovery is the number one priority. I hope that if he can't make it then he and RÚV will consider his participation at the 2018 contest.
