Nous, patientes, personnes concernées, proches, soignants et soutiens, demandons le retour d’un œstradiol injectable sur le marché français, ainsi qu’un travail concret à l’échelle européenne afin de garantir un accès durable, sécurisé et encadré à cette forme de traitement.

Aujourd’hui, en France, les formes d’œstradiol disponibles sont principalement orales et transdermiques (gels, patchs). Pourtant, ces formes ne conviennent pas à tout le monde. Pour certaines femmes cis et trans, ainsi que pour d’autres personnes suivies sous hormonothérapie à base d’œstradiol, l’absorption transdermique peut être insuffisante, instable ou difficile à interpréter sur le plan biologique. Cela peut compliquer l’équilibre hormonal, le suivi médical, la qualité de vie et, parfois même, la sécurité de la prise en charge.

Nous refusons qu’en 2026, des patientes soient laissées sans solution adaptée, contraintes de multiplier les ajustements de gels ou de patchs, ou de se tourner vers des circuits non sécurisés, faute d’alternative légale et encadrée.

Nous ne demandons pas un passe-droit.
Nous demandons un médicament autorisé, contrôlé, prescrit et suivi médicalement.

Nous demandons donc :

1. Une évaluation officielle et publique du besoin réel en œstradiol injectable en France ;
2. La remise à disposition d’une offre encadrée d’œstradiol injectable sur le marché français, sous une ou plusieurs formes adaptées : flacons, seringues préremplies, stylos auto-injecteurs ou cartouches compatibles ;
3. L’ouverture d’un dialogue concret entre autorités sanitaires, professionnels de santé, associations de patientes et industriels afin de rendre cette solution réellement disponible ;
4. La mise en place, dans l’attente d’une commercialisation pérenne, d’une voie d’accès sûre, légale et médicalement supervisée pour les personnes dont les formes actuellement disponibles ne conviennent pas ;
5. Une reconnaissance claire du fait que les besoins concernent des publics divers, notamment des femmes cis, des femmes trans, ainsi que d’autres personnes ayant besoin d’une hormonothérapie à base d’œstradiol.

Le sujet n’est pas marginal.
Il concerne la continuité des soins, la fiabilité du suivi biologique, l’égalité d’accès aux traitements et la dignité des patientes.

Nous demandons au ministère de la Santé, à l’ANSM, aux autorités européennes compétentes et aux laboratoires concernés de prendre ce besoin au sérieux.

Un traitement indispensable ne devrait pas disparaître du marché lorsqu’il répond encore à un besoin réel.

Nous demandons le retour d’un œstradiol injectable sûr, légal, accessible et encadré.

For the return of injectable estradiol in France: legal, safe, and regulated access

We, patients, affected persons, relatives, healthcare professionals, and supporters, call for the return of injectable estradiol to the French market, as well as concrete work at the European level to ensure sustainable, safe, and properly regulated access to this form of treatment.

Today, in France, the available forms of estradiol are mainly oral and transdermal (gels, patches). However, these forms do not work for everyone. For some cis and trans women, as well as other people receiving estradiol-based hormone therapy, transdermal absorption may be insufficient, unstable, or difficult to interpret biologically. This can complicate hormonal balance, medical follow-up, quality of life, and sometimes even the safety of care.

We refuse to accept that in 2026, patients are left without a suitable option, forced to constantly adjust gels or patches, or pushed toward unsafe channels for lack of a legal and regulated alternative.

We are not asking for special treatment.
We are asking for an authorized, controlled, prescribed, and medically supervised medication.

We therefore call for:

1. An official and public evaluation of the real need for injectable estradiol in France;
2. The reintroduction of a regulated injectable estradiol option on the French market, in one or more suitable forms: vials, prefilled syringes, auto-injector pens, or compatible cartridges;
3. The opening of a concrete dialogue between health authorities, healthcare professionals, patient associations, and pharmaceutical companies in order to make this option genuinely available;
4. The establishment, pending long-term commercialization, of a safe, legal, and medically supervised access pathway for people for whom the currently available forms are not suitable;
5. Clear recognition that these needs concern diverse groups, including cis women, trans women, and other people in need of estradiol-based hormone therapy.

This issue is not marginal.
It concerns continuity of care, reliability of biological monitoring, equal access to treatment, and patient dignity.

We call on the French Ministry of Health, the ANSM, the relevant European authorities, and the concerned pharmaceutical companies to take this need seriously.

An essential treatment should not disappear from the market when it still meets a real need.

We call for the return of injectable estradiol that is safe, legal, accessible, and properly regulated.

Für die Rückkehr von injizierbarem Estradiol in Frankreich: sicher, legal und zugänglich

Wir, Patient*innen, Angehörige, medizinisches Fachpersonal und Unterstützende, setzen uns dafür ein, dass injizierbares Estradiol wieder in Frankreich verfügbar wird. Gleichzeitig braucht es konkrete Schritte auf europäischer Ebene, um einen sicheren, verlässlichen und gut regulierten Zugang zu dieser Behandlungsform langfristig zu gewährleisten.

Aktuell gibt es in Frankreich vor allem Estradiol in Tablettenform oder als Gel bzw. Pflaster. Doch diese Optionen funktionieren nicht für alle. Für manche Cis und Trans Frauen sowie andere Menschen in hormoneller Behandlung ist die Aufnahme über die Haut zu schwach, zu unregelmäßig oder biologisch schwer zu verarbeiten. Das kann die richtige Dosis der Hormone erschweren, die medizinische Betreuung komplizierter machen, die Lebensqualität deutlich beeinträchtigen und manchmal die Gesundheit des Betroffenen gefährden.

Es kann nicht sein, dass Menschen im Jahr 2026 keine passende Behandlungsoption haben und gezwungen sind ständig ihre Medikation anzupassen oder im schlimmsten Fall auf unsichere Alternativen auszuweichen.

Uns geht es nicht um Sonderrechte.  
Es geht um eine sichere, zugelassene und ärztlich begleitete Behandlung.

Deshalb fordern wir:

- Eine offene und transparente Prüfung, wie groß der Bedarf an injizierbarem Estradiol in Frankreich tatsächlich ist;
- Die Wiedereinführung einer regulierten, injizierbaren Estradiol-Option (z. B. als Ampullen, Fertigspritzen oder Pens);
- Einen echten Austausch zwischen Behörden, Ärzt*innen, Patient*innenvertretungen und Pharmaunternehmen, damit Betroffene auch individuell  passende Behandlungen erhalten.
- Eine sichere und legale Übergangslösung für Menschen, für die die bisherigen Behandlungsformen nicht ausreichen;
- Die Anerkennung, dass dieser Bedarf viele Gruppen betrifft, darunter Cis Frauen, Trans Frauen und andere Menschen, die auf eine Estradiol-Therapie angewiesen sind.

Das ist kein Nischenthema. 
Es geht um verlässliche medizinische Versorgung, gleiche Chancen beim Zugang zu Behandlung und um die Würde von Patient*innen.

Wir rufen das französische Gesundheitsministerium, das ANSM, die zuständigen Europäischen Behörden  und die betroffenen Pharma-Unternehmen dazu auf, dieses Anliegen ernst zu nehmen.

Ein wichtiges Medikament darf nicht einfach verschwinden, wenn es weiterhin gebraucht wird.
