Russell Island QLD must have a bridge

Russel Island residents are in need of a BRIDGE, because they are constantly deprived from all the great things that are available in the mainland. We are simply tired of being deprived of using the ferry every time we feel like going to the shopping center, hospital or church because of the inflexible ferry times and cost involved. It is especially uncomfortable for people who work on the mainland from Russel island. It is most certainly ridiculous to pay $19.00 dollars for a return trip to Redland bay. Russel islanders are tired of being a slave to the ferry timetables. Every time we come to ferry terminal we have to deal with the overflowing car park. We are often forced to miss the ferry because of the insufficient parking. Ounce we have parked we unload the heavy bags and hail it all the way to the ferry terminal, then we get luggage size restriction on the ferry. Waiting in the hot or cold for the next ferry to arrive is hard for families with tired kids to cope. It is so inconvenient and expensive that we only travel every month for only special occasions. Many people on Russel island cannot afford to keep one car on the mainland and one on the island due to the expenses involved causing people to rely on the inflexible public transport to drive to work. Russel island has a lack of clubs and only has a few small rusty playgrounds which makes it very boring. Being a chess player I find it very hard not being able to go to chess club on the mainland due to the amount of time and money involved for two hours of chess on the mainland. A bridge to Russel island will certainly get rid of all the mentioned problems and provide smooth eases of travel between Russel island and mainland all in the comfort of sitting in a car.
