With the wonderful news that Brisbane will host the Games of the XXXV Olympiad, it comes time to decide the mascot!

The Ibis (also affectionately referred to as the "Bin Chicken") is, simply put, a Queensland Icon and would make the perfect mascot!

Many Queenslanders have already expressed their wishes for this wonderful creature to be awarded the honour and now is the time to make it happen, to cast the spotlight and show the world our local hero!
