Requesting fair tuition rebates from Queen’s University for the switch to online classes

The Issue

With Queen’s making classes online again, it is only fair for tuition rebates since the quality of education will be hampered by this decision. In the school year of September 2020 - April 2021, classes were online and the amenities on campus were highly restricted. The gym was not open for the most part but the tuition still had students paying for the gym membership. Professors would pre-record lectures and ignore emails from their students who had questions about the lectures. This petition is demanding fair tuition rebates as compensation for students, since we did not agree to pay for services that we do not receive. If the Queen’s administration is going to make decisions that ruin educational experiences for students, we are asking that they should be the ones to pay for it, not the students.
