Las administraciones desde las locales a las estatales, están aprovechando esta situación de desconcierto y desesperación en la isla de La Palma para sacar adelante una carretera calificada de emergencia tras los destrozos del volcán. Se llenan sus bocas de orgullo al anunciarlo al público en general, lo que no dicen es que varios tramos de esta carretera de emergencia nada tienen que ver con el volcán y las han metido en el mismo proyecto de carretera, ¿por qué? Porque en una obra calificada como emergencia los propietarios de los terrenos a expropiar no podemos opinar, la obra empezará, luego se nos informará y finalmente pagarán la expropiación a un precio irrisorio.

El nuevo trazado por el cual protestamos en Tazacorte, al cual incluyen en este plan de emergencia, es sólo para reducir tráfico en la carretera de San Borondón que está EN USO y que se encuentra aproximadamente a 200m de este trazado propuesto. Si no hubiera más alternativa para conectar El Valle, se ha de hacer pero actualmente se encuentran otras dos obras de carreteras las cuales sí se están trabajando sobre terreno arrasado por el volcán, que ya cubrirán este tramo, algo que hace que esta obra tenga menos sentido aún. No nos quiten el poco suelo que nos queda en Tazacorte y menos por algo innecesario. 

¿qué es lo que mas nos preocupa y duele, y por qué pedimos tu firma? Porque muchos de nosotros perderemos el único terreno que nos queda tras el volcán, fincas en producción de las que vivimos, terrenos urbanizables para construir y reconstruir nuestras viviendas,… y muchas otras realidades igualmente dolorosas, todo por algo innecesario. 

Con el volcán la única opción que tuvimos fue mirar, esperar y llorar, pero ahora no queremos mirar sin actuar, ayuda al pueblo de Tazacorte, NO a un tramo de carretera innecesario que simplemente será para que el tráfico disminuya en la que ya está en uso y que destruirá amplias zonas del pequeño pueblo que se encuentran sanas y alejadas de las coladas.

Si nos quitan lo poco que nos quedó muchos tendremos que irnos de Tazacorte, del Valle e incluso de la isla, BASTA YA de tanto abuso y de tanto negocio aprovechando el dolor del pueblo palmero.

The local, regional and state administrations are taking advantage of this confusing situation on the island of La Palma to move forward with a road classified as an emergency after the destruction of the volcano. They fill their mouths with pride when announcing it to the general public, what they don't say is that several sections of this emergency road have nothing to do with the volcano and they have included it in the same road project, why? Because in a project classified as an emergency, the owners of the land to be expropriated cannot say nothing, the work will begin, then we will be informed and finally they will pay for the expropriation at a very low price.

The new road for which we are protesting in Tazacorte, which is included in this emergency plan, is only to reduce traffic on the San Borondón road which is IN USE and which is approximately at 200m from this proposed road. If there were no other alternative to connect El Valle, it has to be done but currently there are two other road projects which are being worked on land devastated by the volcano, which will already cover this section, something that makes this emergency road with even less sense. Please, do not take from us something that survive at the volcano.

What worries us and hurts us the most, and why do we ask you for your signature? Because many of us will lose the only land we have left after the volcano, farms in production from which we live, developable land to build and rebuild our homes, ... and many other equally painful realities, and all for something unnecessary. 

With the volcano the only option we had was to watch, wait and cry, but now we dont want to watch without acting, help the people of Tazacorte, NO to an unnecessary stretch of road that will simply be for traffic to decrease in the one that is already in use and that will destroy large areas of the small town that are healthy and away from the lava flows.

If they take away what we have left, many of us will have to leave Tazacorte, the Valley and even the island, IT'S ENOUGH ALREADY of so much abuse and so much business taking advantage of the pain of the people of La Palma.
