From the assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah, to the shootings in Minneapolis that left more than a dozen injured, to teens in Harlem wounded in gunfire — it felt like everywhere we turned, violence was winning. These weren’t just news reports. These were lives lost, families broken, and futures stolen.

I couldn’t stop thinking: When does it end? How many more lives have to be cut short before we put the weapons down and look for peace in something greater?

That’s why I’m starting this pledge — Put the Weapons Down and Give Your Life to Christ. This isn’t just about rejecting guns or violence. It’s about finding a deeper purpose, about living with love instead of hate, about trusting Christ to heal what we cannot.

I believe we can build a culture where young people don’t feel like weapons are the answer. I believe we can choose peace, healing, and hope. And I believe it starts with each of us making a commitment — a pledge — to change the story.
