Feds order British flag flown to mark Canada's independence. Say what?!

What country celebrates its nationhood by flying the flag of another country? Ours does! This week, Ottawa is telling all federal facilities across the land to fly the British flag to mark our political independence...from Britain. If the Statute of Westminster is to be saluted on its anniversary each December 11, the Maple Leaf should do the job, not the Union Jack. This petition asks the Department of Canadian Heritage to stop using the British flag to mark dates of Canadian significance. Your voice makes a difference.
