Why can't these funds be used more effectively to renovate and redesign the space? Put in a skating rink or indoor park; an escape from the heat. Such an initiative could revitalize the mall while maintaining its contribution to the local economy and community.

Moreover, areas like downtown Wichita Falls suffer from neglect and could greatly benefit from similar investments. Downtown has the potential to be a hub of tourism, attracting visitors and boosting the economy. Redirecting some funds to rejuvenate downtown could bring long-term benefits far beyond what a demolished mall site would.

Additionally, the mall serves various purposes beyond shopping. Many community members utilize it for walking and social interaction, making it an important part of citizens' daily routines. Keeping the mall intact caters to these daily users and helps preserve its social and economic value.

Let's rethink the plan without resorting to complete demolition. Midwestern State University can still establish a stadium on the property, potentially integrating it with a renovated mall space.
