Nikki Brown of Waxahachie Texas shot Shane Post over an assigned parking spot in their gated apartment  lot downtown on Tuesday April 19, 2022. An argument unfolded as Shane's wife, Irina, and baby daughter were coming down to greet him and his co-worker. Brown shot Post one time in the torso right in front of them! The bullet tore through multiple vital organs. He had to have surgery to repair the damage but the bullet remains in him as it's too dangerous to remove right now. 

Brown was arrested shortly after and bonded out on $150,000. He is living in his apartment next door the the wife and child of the man he shot. Shane is recovering in an ICU while Nikki lives his life free without consequence (until trial and judgment)!

I am writing this petition to put Nikki Brown back in jail until he is tried under a jury. This man does not belong in our society nor does he deserve the right to go on living his life while he nearly took another. 

The Post family deserves to live knowing that they are safe and not in fear of their neighbor who shot their loved one. Put yourself in their shoes (yes even Brown's). Was $150,000 a high enough price to pay for nearly taking someone's life? Should there have even been a bond ?

What can we do as a society and community to make this right for everyone involved? Please leave a comment to the people and decision makers of Waxahachie to let them know exactly how this makes you feel and what you'd like to be done to remedy this situation.
