The Humane Society of the United States reports that nearly 1 million animals a year are abused or killed due to cases of domestic violence alone. This alarming statistic reveals the urgency of the situation.

We are petitioning for stricter laws, which give due punishment to those who display blatant disregard for animal welfare. We demand the creation of active educational campaigns that demonstrate the right way to care for animals and advocate against their mistreatment. It is of utmost importance that local authority bodies are compelled to be more active, vigilant, and stringent in dealing with reports of animal abuse.
