The Issue

Indigenous people once occupied the entire country of Canada, covering 9,984,670 km2, but today they only own 6.3% of the country's total area.

The land rights of Indigenous people are not being respected. Their consent is not being taken into consideration, their consent matters; they SHOULD be informed prior to any decision that affects their land and resources.

Indigenous people have a deep connection to their land and it is essential for their cultural survival and well-being. They should be the ones making decisions about their own land. It is crucial to acknowledge and respect their sovereignty and autonomy over their ancestral territories. Indigenous people have been fighting for their land rights for centuries, and it is a fundamental aspect of their cultural identity. It is imperative that the government recognize and respect these rights to promote justice and equality.

Thank you very much for your time and attention to this. I am highly confident that this problem will be taken into consideration by the government and soon be solved.
