My story, along with numerous others, begins with a deep passion for the Wicked Musical and Wicked Movie. As a part of this expansive male fan base, we have been supporters and fans for over two decades. However, the disappointment sinks in when we try to find Wicked-themed merchandise.

Only one men's shirt design is available at Big W, and it's not anything to brag about - it was plain and frankly felt horrible to wear. Meanwhile, the selection for women and children brims with variety. Despite this setback, we have resorted to purchasing and proudly wearing clothing advertised for women.

This discrepancy in merchandise availability suggests an oversight by the companies involved. There seems to be a misunderstanding about who the fan base truly comprises of. We, the loyal male fans, also deserve a line of merchandise curated for us.

Thankfully, we see an opportunity here. It is estimated that about half of the Wicked fan base are men who are ready and eager to support their favorite movie by buying merchandise. Creating a variety designed for men will not only meet the enthusiasm of this untapped market but also affirm the inclusiveness that the show espouses.

We urge Wicked Movie merchandise companies to acknowledge the extensive male fan base spanning over 20-plus years and to manifest that acknowledgement by creating male orientated apparel. This would demonstrate an understanding and appreciation for all their fans, regardless of gender.
