Puppy Beaten with Hammer, Throat Slit, Dumped while STILL ALIVE

Timothy Cregg was arrested for beating a puppy repeatedly in the head with a hammer, slashing his throat and throwing him in a dumpster. The 5-month-old pit bull puppy was found in the dumpster, shaking and bloodied. An animal-rescue organization took care of the puppy but couldn't save his life - he had to be euthanized due to the severity of the injuries. According to Cregg, he was upset because the dog had chewed on his comforter.

Cregg has been charged with felony animal cruelty, which is punishable by up to four years in prison. He is due in court on November 7th. A preliminary examination is scheduled for Nov. 14.

Please ask for maximum punishment !

Letter to
Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office
I am contacting you regarding the case against Timothy Cregg of 865 W. Laketon, Apartment 1, who was arraigned in Muskegon County's 60th District Court on a charge of torturing and killing a 5-month-old puppy.

Violent acts toward animals have long been recognized as indicators of a violent psychopathology - people who commit acts of cruelty against animals do not stop there. Indeed, Mr Cregg already has a documented history of violence. Animal victims of abuse and neglect cannot speak for themselves. Such violent behaviour should not be tolerated. Animal cruelty must be taken seriously by law enforcement and by prosecutors. I understand that the felony is punishable by up to four years in prison and request that Mr Cregg be punished with the maximum penalty for this horrendous crime. It is imperative that you set an example for others in the community and make a statement that animal cruelty will not be tolerated. Please push for maximum penalty !

Thank you for your time.
