On the 21st September 2023 we submitted a petition to the Board of Governors united in support of Pulteney Grammar Schools Principal Mr Cameron Bacholer, the School Executive and the School Staff.

Today we unite once again with a new message for the Board of Governors.

 

We call for strong, united, proud leadership from the Board of Governor Members.

 

We have written letter upon letter, day after day, week after week and at best we received the following:

"These are matters that, respectfully, the Board is not placed to comment on. "

 

Months after this shameful set of circumstances commenced we remain absent strong, proud leaders with unity of purpose.

 

We need - we deserve - strong, proud leaders with unity of purpose.

 

It is well past time for the Board of Governors - as a united body - to step forward and take ownership of the current circumstances and the circumstances of the preceding two months.

It is well past time for the Board of Governors - as a united body - to demonstrate through real actions the true meaning of the words "transparent" and "accountable".

It is well past time for the Board of Governors - as a united body - to show us that they are proud of their work.

 

1) We the undersigned call upon every member of the Board of Governors to call a meeting of the Pulteney Grammar Community to explain to us - personalised, united and strong - the events that led to our Principal Mr Cameron Bacholer resigning.

Board of Governor Members. Show us you are truly proud of the Independent Review and the circumstances that led to Mr Cameron Bacholer's resignation. Stop hiding behind the "Pulteney Board Response to Independent Review" and show true Pulteney Grammar Values and be authentic, purposeful, and most of all personalised.

 

The Board of Governors has no members, only governors. In part that is why they can so easily ignore our letters and write bland responses. But not so the Parents and Friends Association and the Pulteney Old Scholars Association.

They have members. Members that expect to be represented by leaders who are authentic, purposeful, personalised.

 

2) We the undersigned call upon the two nominees currently sitting on the Pulteney Grammar School Board of Governors from the two member associations to resign and return to your members. Present to your members your actions and be transparent and accountable. If you are truly proud of your achievements, have faith that your members will be proud of you and return you as nominees to the Board of Governors.
