Mehdi Hasan is a regular contributor in the press and online media on issues surrounding Islam. As a journalist and author, Hasan is a presenter of Al Jazeera and participates in regular televised debates on various television channels including the BBC. Despite the many islamic terrorist attacks which have transpired across Europe and the rest of the world, as well as the countless number of ghastly islamic state execution videos which have come to light, you can always rely on Mehdi Hasan to grab onto an issue like a dog with a bone and create an irrelevant side issue, thereby effectively masking more important issues and alleviating the responsibility muslims have to report extremist islamic behaviour. Always running to the defence of Islam, he cunningly shifts all the focus away from the unethical and barbaric ideology of Islam and instead, conveniently blames terrorism on western foreign policy. The ideology of Islam must be discussed and debated. However, in televised debates, Mehdi Hasan doesn't add anything new to discussions, he 'muddies' them and confuses panels and audiences. His debates, speeches and documentaries on YouTube are all part of a well-conducted and ongoing campaign to defend Islam, regardless of it's ghastly atrocities. His debates are misleading and Mehdi Hasan will do ANYTHING to shift blame from Islam and rather onto something else. Mehdi Hasan's objective is to use his position in the media to fulfill his own personal crusade which mandates that ISLAM CAN NEVER BE AT FAULT. Although he likes to come across as a liberal/moderate muslim, he has views which are detrimental to western, liberal society. As an inspiring figure among Islamic communities, as well as having a large following, this wolf in sheep's clothing cannot not be allowed to continue spreading his rhetoric across the media to further mould and shape intolerant islamic opinion against western values and western policy.

This footage is evidence enough of his 'hidden' radical views. His passion in the video is quite evident, as if he were narrating horrid islamic state execution videos. MI5 and the UK National Counter Terrorism Security Office would be very interested in this footage.
Constantly defending Islam (with passion), as seen all over YouTube, he is quite clearly extreme in his views, and at best, a clear religious supremacist. His views are extremely dangerous, and although not enough to imply he is a terrorist himself, I fear that giving him such a large platform to run a campaign which spouts out his nonsense will encourage further contempt towards non-muslims.
A recent article that he posted in the New Statesman (http://www.newstatesman.com/mehdi-hasan/2015/01/muslim-i-m-fed-hypocrisy-free-speech-fundamentalists#comment-1793629315 also states that he doesn't feel that those who burnt poppies should have been prosecuted. This is a clear sign that Mehdi has no respect whatsoever for British values.
This degenerate should be out on the streets with a cardboard sign selling pens from a plastic cup. WHAT ON EARTH is this buffoon doing on television?
