CLOSE Seattle Colleges campus due to COVID-19 - Coronavirus

The Issue

As we write this, there are 21 confirmed cases of coronavirus, or COVID-19, in Washington State, and Nine total coronavirus deaths, according to King County officials.

Many of those infected may have been out in the community, spreading this virus without knowing it. And the scary character of this virus is that it can stay in the body for two weeks or more without showing any symptoms, but carriers still can spread it to other people. Therefore, many students and school faculties may be infected and may bring the virus to school. Thus, all students and school faculties are exposed under the coronavirus during transportation, class time, lunch, and other crowded times. The virus will inevitably infect people growing the infection rate exponentially. Moreover, students may pass the virus on to their friends and family who will pass it on to their friends, family, colleagues, and so on. It is indeed that the novel coronavirus has a higher death rate on elders than young people. However, two new cases in Seattle involved people in their 20s.

Therefore, we request that Seattle College District: North Seattle CollegeSeattle Central CollegeSouth Seattle College, that they close all campus and facilities as to slow infection rates and keep students, their families, and everyone safe.

Be aware of the risks; take action now.
